open LMO advise

Hi there
I've been lucky enough to find myself an employer with an open LMO. They have given me a job contract and now I am waiting for the LMO. I was told that it needs to be sent away to the canadian government to have my name put on it. Does anyone know how long this will take ??? The job is in alberta

Also once I have the LMO. Do I need to get a workpermet or can I get one as I pass through cusoms. I am from the UK and the job is landscaping.

Hi,

Currently it is taking about 3-4 weeks to put a name on the LMO.

Being a UK national (visa exempt country) you can apply for a WP at POE.
