On extended visitor visa. Ok to visit US then come back?

My mom is currently on an extended visitor visa. The 6-months stay supposed to expire Oct 2016, but we had it extended successfully to Nov 2017 (visitor visa extension).

Her visitor visa is multiple-entry and valid until 2019.

My question is, during this time, can she go to the USA for a couple of days to visit her friends, then re-enter Canada without any problems?

She will still be assessed again by CBSA at the border given having a visitor visa is still no guarantee of entry but you would expect no issues given she extended through the proper process. Nobody here though can guarantee anything and will of course need a visa to enter the US unless a visa waiver passport holder.
