Old Passports

When CIC request you to bring old passports to the test, does this mean old passports prior to coming to Canada as well or just the old passports after coming to Canada?

They only request the passports that you held for the last 4 years right before when you signed/sent your citizenship application.
for example, if you sent your application on January 1st 2015, you will need all passports that covers the 4 previous years, means until January 1st 2011. It could be just one passport, or more than one if you renewed your passport during this period.

Note that if you have lived in Canada for longer than 4 years (PR, student, work visa, etc), they may be interested in seeing any passports starting from the date you first lived in Canada. They asked for mine at the interview. I was lucky I decided to bring all my old passports. I'm not sure what would have happened if I didn't have it on me.

I received the test invite it, mentioned to bring all the passports that I have.
It said like the following: "all passports and travel documents in your possession (current and expired)"

I took all passports and officer asked me for my passports. I asked him if he needs all the passports or just those held in past 4 years.
He asked about the passports held in past 4 years.

However, you should take all your passports. You never know if the officer might be interested to look at your passports held beyond 4 year period.
