I am from India. I got 438 point. Received invite letter from Ontario two weeks back. Still considering whether to apply or not as I have no relatives or contacts in Ontario plus fees is non-refundable.

Let's gather here and discuss about the confusion, the multiple people are into.

I suggest you to apply ASAP. Most people here have been waiting for an invite for a long time. CRS of 438 won't get you a direct ITA this year for sure. Also, ties to Ontario is not a mandatory requirement.

I am also 438 and many more with this score who don't get invite or PT from Ontario. What are u waiting for? just $1500? which you can earn in a month in Canada. Common man....don't let the chance go. We are waiting to get Pt and you are so relaxed. people with 449 are waiting since months....And except me all thinks the scores would not go down. Even if they go down u should not miss a chance like this. opportunities come and u need to grab them.

Congrats on getting an invite. I would definitely apply if I were you unless of course you don't like the idea of settling in Ontario. Search the forum for some advice on how to best put yourself forward for the ties/intention to reside in Ontario requirement.

The simple answer is NO, you do NOT need to have a job offer to get nominated

Hi Guys!!!

So this is my situation, hope you can advice me right I have a closed work permit with an employer in Alberta, but I only worked with an employer for 5 months and quit my job and moved to ON in search of a new job, since then I'm unemployed and living with my relatives my status is valid because of valid work permit.

I don't understand how I suppose to explain this whole situation to OPNP. My last work permit was issued to work in Alberta, but I only work 5 months and moved to ON because of some reason with employer.

Can someone please help me out Huh

I was wondering the individuals in this thread that have received an invitation, what is your NOC code as it seems that ontario is only inviting certain Noc codes, I do not know how true this is
