Yes, you need to make sure that your score remains above 400 during the entire OINP process. The only exception to it is that your score goes below 400 due to the age, in this case the OINP will still process your application.

I have a question:

I sent my PNP application (CEC) at Feb 8th, 2016, but still wait for AOR. I am not sure I help my son (under 16 age) to make a signature in the application form, but I am sure my wife and I already made a signature in the form. If missing my son's signature, my application should be returned? or hopefully just need for additional file?


As we known, PT letter is stopped, if my application is returned, I will unable to resubmit it again. So I want to know the consequence.

Hi Guys,

In my OINP application I submitted a bank statement which is only in my husband's name (dependant/spouse) and a copy of our marriage certificate. I was contacted by an officer to provide another document and she did not make mention on the bank statement. My file has since been forwarded to a senior officer for a decision.

I was just doing some reading on CIC's website and I saw a requirement for submission after being issued an ITA is to submit an official bank letter and it must be in the applicant's name. Has anyone ever submitted and gotten through with PR after submitting a bank letter only in the spouse's/dependant's name? Does anyone have guidance on this?

PT interest: 25th October
File submitted: 7th November
File received: 10th November
AOR: 4th March 2016
Add documents submitted: 15th April
Nomination: Waiting
Retook IELTS: 19th May
CRS increased: 463

Waiting for both, Nomination or Federal draw. Whichever happens first. When should I expect my Nomination from OINP??

My CRS score is 403 at this moment but my birthday is falling next month (July 2016), which will reduce my score to 398.

Will that impact my Ontario state nomination? because as per their site our score should not fall below 400 till the Ontario and Canada immigration process is completed.

I would appreciate your guidance on this as I am planning to submit my application next week (if Ontario will not revoke its nomination due to change in age factor).

This will not impact your application as "points reduction because of a birthday" is the only exceptional condition applicable for both OINP and IRCC applications (reduction of CRS points because of a birthday after receiving ITA). I hope you feel relieved now.

Oh...do you mean that you have not yet submitted your OINP application??
If not yet, then you need to have atleast 400 CRS points to be eligible to receive PT NOI from OINP.
The way you wrote the earlier message, it looked as if you have submitted your OINP application.

As such OINP will resume sending PT NOI from Nov or Dec. 2016.

You can send application to OINP only after you receive PT Notification of Interest (NOI) from Ontario after creating your Express Entry profile.

Hi All

I called OINP last Thursday dated 2 June 2016.
When i told them that my application status is overdue by 130 days, the person asked for EE profile number, and gave me an update that my application is in the last stage of reviews... Hope you will listen from us in another 1 or 2 weeks.
