Hello,
I have questions regarding the OHIP, how do I apply? I understand I need to have COPR or PR card and proof of residency in Ontario. 1) is any waiting period before getting the card?
2) Proof of residency, do they count the days before PR? or after PR/COPR?

thanks in advance

Thanks Zardoz..
I did check the website but the only problem is proof of residency..
I am physically present in Ontario for 153 days in any 12-month period but NOT physically present in Ontario for at least 153 days of the first 183 days.

Firstly, you don't need COPR or PR card. You are eligible before the process is complete. Read about that here; http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/important-ohip-eligibility-info-for-all-pr-applicants-residing-in-ontario-t56695.0.html.

Secondly, in terms of residency the Service Ontario rep will ask for an Ontario drivers license. Unless they have concerns about your residency status, the license will probably be sufficient.
