I sent an application to sponsor my spouse a week ago, and just checked Royal Mail to see it was delivered! I take it the waiting game now begins! No idea how long we'll have to wait for AOR, seems anywhere between a couple of weeks to a couple of months? Nervous but excited!

Unfortunately, they haven't been sending out AORs anymore. The very first correspondence for CIC will be your SA.

I'm not sure what SA stands for (is there an abbreviations list somewhere that I've missed? I tried searching).

Either way, if they're not sending AORs I'm going to be even more worried/neurotic about it now-- I'll be wondering if they even have it, even though I checked the address about 5000 times.

SA = Sponsor Approval.

Is there any way that the applicant can check the application status? or does one have to wait until after the sponsor is approved.

Generally Sponsor Approval happens first through out the process.

After you get you SA you will received UCI # then you can track your process.

My item has been sitting at "Out for Delivery" for a few days now.

I am so worried. I have called Canada Post and they are now investigating. Chances are that the signature is not updated but I am frustrated that we paid so much to get the package delivered next day, and expect that the information would be updated at least within 24 hours if not immediately.

Has anyone else experienced this before. It's all our hard work that I would hate to lose.

I went online to check this morning, and it says it has been delivered, but no one's name has been put down as the signatory. I will probably leave it now and enquire only if I don't get the SA within the specified time frame.

Mine was delivered on the expected day but Canada post didn't update the status. Status shows signature too.
