Congrats ! So it means you are almost finished the process ? That might be record on how fast a visa is issued !
The sponsored person should be getting an email or a physical letter shortly requesting the passport if approved.

I dont have idea about the time that I've to wait for the end of the process... but I hope that it dont take much time... I'm the sponsored person but I dont receive any email...

Good news as well ! We have got an AOR letter from Moscow.
It came in e-mail form.

The letter states a bit more. They are requesting her passport and are considering issuing a visa!
It also states that if they do, she must come to Canada by Sept 2014 and no later.

The letter states to send her passport within 30 days as long as all the information we submitted is accurate and up-to-date.

Now there is a small problem, she just changed her last name to my last name, so her foreign passport is not "up-to-date".
I called CIC in Mississauga just now, they asked us to immediately e-mail the Moscow embassy and we have. We need to wait to see what they say...

WOW, we were not expecting this so soon.

Hi everybody, any gud news? I think visa office is not interested in opening Oct files, strange but it has been almost 2 months I am waiting for passport request, but the usual timing for ppr is 15-30 days after file is transferred, I don't know if its just me or NDVO has changed their procedure.

CONGRATULATIONS! THAT is GREAT news indeed! May I know your time line of when you submitted your application for sponsorship and got approved? I am dying to get that passport request on email too....

I wish my application will be processed as fast as yours congratulations though, it is uplifting when someone receives an update regarding their applications. Best of luck to all of us.

We got a response back from Moscow. They asked my wife to get a new foreign passport with my last name and then to send everything to them by courier.

Due to the winter olympics in Russia, there is a fair queue for foreign passports. So we'll have to wait 4-6 weeks to get a new passport. Then probably another 4-6 weeks before we get any further status updates. 3 months wait from here.

2013/11/13 - CIC Letter to proceed with MICC [Snail mail Date] [1 week]
2013/11/20 - MICC Application Received [Courier Date] [1 week]
2013/11/27 - MICC Charged Credit Card [1 week]
2013/12/10 - MICC CSQ Received and Approved. Emailed a copy to Sydney Visa Office, as requested. [Snail mail Date] [2 weeks]
2013/12/23 - CIC Requests Confirmation of Passport Details [2 weeks]

Running time: 11 weeks since 22-Oct-2013.

Is this the passport request phase? We both have "Decision Made" in our respective boxes on ECAS.
