Has anyone applied for a PRTD in Taipei by chance? And if so how long was the processing time? I'm suppose to be traveling there in mid September with my family and I'm still waiting for my PR card to come in the mail. A bit stressed because I'm not sure if my or card will come in time.
When I landed the CIC officer told I should get my card in August (this month) but then when I called CIC and they told me my card may or may not come before I leave Canada. I'm nervous waiting for it and I've heard that a PRTD can take a long time to process. I was only planning to be in Taipei for 10 days in September and I'm not sure if I can get a PRTD will be processed in time before I need to come back home. I've tried emailing the VAC in Taipei and they told me they can't tell the exact processing time for a PRTD but that it could take a month to processs or possibly less time. Any help would be appreciated if anyone has experienced processing a PRTD document abroad? Thank you.
