Hello, I am in canada now and would like to get PCC in india. Is it mandatory to present original passport or copy of it is sufficient to obtain the PCC through an agent???
In my case, my wife got PCC in india on 31.01.2017 and left to canada on 22.02.2017. CIC is clearly mentioned that the PCC is valid for 6 months if it is issued before leaving the country. Hence, I used the same PCC in my application package. I got AOR on March 3, 2017. Am I under the risk of getting rejected because of the reason PCC is not issued after her last visit? I am worrying about it..xpressentry said:Yes you have to give your passport as they stamp the PCC on it. Apply through an Indian mission abroad

CIC mentioned that PCC is valid for 6 months if it is obtained before leaving the country according to the following linkxpressentry said:Those 22 days put you at a risk of rejection
India was your wife's current country. You had not yet submitted eAPR and she left India to go to Canada. If she had submitted eAPR and then left, it would be fine.karthik506 said:CIC mentioned that PCC is valid for 6 months if it is obtained before leaving the country according to the following link

Since your AOR date if after the your wife left, the current PCC wont do.karthik506 said:I got AOR on March 3, 2017 with my wife's old PCC issued on Jan 31, 2017. She left to canada on Feb 22, 2017.. This is my case.
I already submitted my application and passed the medicals.Mumbai_Maratha said:If you have not submitted your application yet, get new PCC from Indian Embassy in Canada.
This is the safest option.
