Number of photos I have to submit with my application

Can somebody confirm how many photos I need to submit with my application. On one of the checklists it indicated 8 passport photos - is this correct? Also does my sponsor need to submit passport photos?

As ever your advice is greatly appreciate.

8 for applicant (sponsored person) & 8 for each dependent of applicant (in any)

They are not exactly passport photos.. be sure to get the right measurement. Each region is different so you must refer to your regional guide. The sponsor doesn't include any pictures. Just the applicant(s)
