Before contacting my MP this time, I was thinking :" it's almost there, it takes 22 months already and people in this thread start getting DM again"

But the fact is so heartbreaking, they haven't even initiate my security screening. It may take another 1 year, god knows.

In the petition listed above, we know due to some reasons, CBSA now takes longer time for security screening. This might be an objective excuse for IRCC since this is out of their control. But not initiating security screening? Excuse me? This definitely is their subjective fault not initiating security screening after 22 months.

This is my story
And it could also be yours.
And who will be responsible for my hard earned 300+ dollars re-medical fee?

Who will be responsible for those opportunity cost? Home price becomes rocketing high and now, even the mortgage interest rate. I am even unable to lock an interest rate with my bank since I don't have a new immigrant status ( landing paper or PR card)

Will honorable Mr. Trudeau be responsible for all these?
Will honorable Mr. Hussen be responsible for all these?
Will any employee of IRCC/CBSA/CSIS dare to stand out and claim the responsibility for all these?

Why a legal tax payer working in Canada needs to suffer through all these?

Ô Canada !

From the update, because of your change in marital status, your application is now “non-routine”; therefore the normal processing times will not apply to your file. Overall, the eligibility criteria for you was finalized last year; the medicals for both of you are on file. The criminal checks are on file (valid) for both of you. The security checks are still in process for you – they are on file for your spouse.

Maybe you will not be sent to SS at all. Not every applicant goes to SS. I think one thing in common for all the people waiting long is SS and CBSA is responsible to give admissibility after CSIS gives its SS advice. So CBSA is the the source of unlimited waiting. I thought it is good to reunite from all categories and focus on CBSA. Ask MP's to contact CBSA and to write to Mininster Ralph Goodale, etc.

Friends,

I am a DEC inland applicant (Alberta PNP) and still stuck on the background check stage. I am a single and stuck on the background check process. I contacted my local MP office in june and i was advised to contact them again if nothing's happening by Aug 30.

I don;t know how long this process is gonna take....but I just wanna know, we ARE getting our PPR eventually, sometime by next summer (latest i guess), right? Otherwise, it'd be such a ridiculous joke for all of us!

For my case, I included my spouse in the application before I submitted It to CIC

Yes and the process completed in July. No idea why CBSA or CIC step is taking too long and I don't think we will hear anything this year nor early 2018. This is extremely unfair process!

CSIS completed July 2016 or 2017?
We applied 2016 and we have people with CSIS completed Nov 2016 who are still waiting.

2017, background checks for Dec 2015 applicants started in April 2017. Yes still many applicants from June-Sep 2015 with completed CSIS background check in 2016 or early 2017 are waiting. No sign of any movement from CIC or CBSA. I guess we should start to think about getting a lawyer for Mandamus because there are no other useful options. We tried MPs, media but didn't work. They don't respond to enquirers.

I see. For spouse sponsorshop 2016 applicants, CSIS was completed late 2016 or early 2017. But still waiting. Who has the earliest CSIS completed date who is still waiting? I know Sep and Nov 2016 CSIS completed still waiting (9-11 months after CSIS, 14 months in SS). Do you know anyone with CSIS completed date before Sep 2016 who is still waiting or recently got DM?

Can you please add all your dates in your profile so that when we click on your name we can always see all the dates. It is hard to remember you are Nov 2015 next time. Have you got your CSIS report? What are the dates?
