Yes. Only the local offices can arrange test and oath.
And also by transferring my app to local office to arrange test, that means in principle that they've done reviewing and processing my application, correct?

Because when I asked the CIC rep this question they probably didn't want to say anything with certainty, and just said that "well the test is part of the things they view in an application. They've done most of your application"

No most of the processing is done at the local office actually. The central intake office just does a brief overview for eligibility.

Looking for advice/comments.

Me and my wife wrote the test yesterday. We both passed. My interview went well. Same with my wife, the officer said she is happy with everything except my wife has to wait longer for oath, as they are waiting for clearance, which can take 6-8 months. Officer said its just not her, there are more people with same situation. Also, she did get a FP request and i did not.

What is clearance...will it really take 6-8 months?
Any information will help.

Thanks in advance.

I tried to call the CIC today 1 (888) 242-2100 to find out more about my application because it hasn't moved since In Process Jan 11, 2018 and I was surprised by the amount of calls they are receiving, the answer machine didn't even put me on hold, it was saying there are not agents available, call in some other time!

Seriously, to everyone out there, if it's not that important please don't call.
