When does your passport expire?

My passport has a number of years left, however I have just renewed my son's. Checked my records, the run out date of his old passport matches the valid 'till date on CPR. Oh dear! What do I do?

Congratulations, we did the landing process on Thursday & it was very quick.
The officer didn't ask anything out of the ordinary & just asked for a proof of address so bring a second piece of ID or a utility bill. We landed at Peace Arch.

I landed on Thursday at Rainbow Bridge and today status updated to complete. On Friday I renewed my health card (will come in a few weeks to my address) and received my new SIN number.

Now countdown to receive my PR card (16 calendar days according to website).

Return Tracker Activated: 17th Nov

Does anyone have a telephone number for CIC, which can be dialled from outside Canada please? The 1-888-242-2100 number does not work from overseas.

Can you try Skype? You may need to purchase credits though.

Now I am not left up with much time to submit passport..30 days were given. Just 7-8 days left to submit it. Sent an email on 27th Oct and 4 reminders since then. It's not even possible to send it to Ottwa.. Guys any suggestions??

Not much you could do as its not in our hands. Just hope for the best and pray to god that they arrange it and reply soon...

BTW I was saw on some other thread that one guy who is same like our situation (i.e. He is in Canada & his Wife is in India). He sent his Passport to Ottawa with the original PPR email + a covering letter explaining the situation and requesting to arrange Visa printing for her wife in INDIA. And magically he got a email just after couple of days after his passport reached ottawa. Also, his return tracker got activated. So you may try the same.

I am also in the same boat except my 30th day of submitting passport is 10 December 2014.

Can some1 of those who have sent their passport to Ottawa after receiving PPR and have return tracker activated able to tell me, what is the starting point of returning document? I mean where it was scanned first when your pspt was shipped back by CIC?

I landed on Saturday. Thanks for all the help!! and good luck to all!!

I just want to confirm that after landing we don't need to do anything for the PR card application. It will be automatically processed by CIC - correct?
