lol I didn't catch that, stupid copy and paste. Fixed it.

Now time for some good news: I just got my passport back! I can finally land and put all this behind now.

Here is my detailed timeline:

App. Received by CIC: Nov. 14, 2012
AOR Received.: Jan. 14, 2013

Med's Request: Oct. 9, 2013
Med's Done....: Oct. 11, 2013 with Dr. Daniel Garrett in Kitchener
ECAS changed to "In Process" the same day MR was received

RPRF/Biodata requested: Oct. 17, 2013

CIC received eMedical (according to my doctor): Oct. 17, 2013

ECAS changed to "Decision Made" on Oct. 21, 2013 morning
PPR received (RPRF/Biodata requested again even though I sent them the 2 business days ago) on the same day: Oct. 21, 2013 (just past 7pm)

Passport sent: Oct. 22, 2013
Passport received by CIC: Oct. 24, 2013

VISA ISSUED...: Oct. 31, 2013
CoPR Letter issue date: Nov. 5, 2013
Xpresspost tracker activated: Nov. 05, 2013 evening
Passport Received: Nov. 06, 2013

I'm grateful to have things processed so quickly since my MR. I probably had a really nice VO who stayed on top of my files. (On the other hand, I also stayed on top of things and responded to CIC as soon as anything is required, which probably had helped.) To anyone still waiting, don't get frustrated and things can get moving any day. I heard nothing from them for 9 months and then got my passport back less than a month after I got my MR.

Good luck everyone! I'm planning on doing my landing this weekend and will keep you posted on how it goes.

If you read my timeline posted above, you can see that I received my passport today (Nov. 6th). From the day CIC received my passport (Oct. 24, 2013) to the day they sent it back (Nov. 05, 2013) it took 12 days (or 9 business days). I'm using this as the yardstick because it takes out your geographical location and the Canada Post delivery time, so it's more applicable for other people.

I have been one of the really lucky ones, so I don't want everyone to expect their passport back within 2 weeks since it's highly VO dependent. To get more people's timeline, please refer to this thread: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/waiting-for-passport-please-add-your-case-here-t151428.0.html

Good luck!

Which visa officer (VO) sent the PPR? Her/his code is in the signature of the PPR email. Some VOs are pretty fast. Anyhow, based on the recent timelines, one can expect their passport to be returned within 2-3 weeks after sending to Ottawa.

My PPR email didn't contain a signature. I received it at 7pm so I presume the VO was working over-time and was just rushing through these emails, probably forgot to attach his/her signature.

For my RPRF/Biodata request email, the VO was EM5578, however it's very likely that the PPR emails was sent out by a different VO.

Hi I have been always a CD-ROM and I also applied nov 2012 cec .
here is my status and a few question.

Received application: Nov 7, 2012
AOR: Jan 2, 2013
Medical request: Nov 1st, 2013
RPRF and Biodata request: Nov 1st, 2013

And now my questions are:

I have always worry about my working experience wont be eligible to apply cec ( 2 years of experience as a accounting bookkeeper ); but they have sent me the RPRF and medical request on Friday by email, is that mean the working experience part has gone through smoothly?

I realized that the address of the email showed the old address and I already changed it through the status checking website( which the website changed, but not the email from NOV 1st), does it mean it will be changed or I will need to submit them some other paper work to show my new address?

Also, I havent done the police check yet, neither the one in Canada or my home country (hong kong), should I still do it before they request so it wont be postpone?

Last question, I recently change my job to a bank as a call center position which I havent inform the government yet, should I do it, if yes, how?

Hi can anyone gives me some help with these questions please?

1. You already passed the eligibility review so you have nothing to worry anymore.
2. You should inform CIC about any change in your address (if you want them to be able to reach you)
3. If you haven't send the PCC yet and they never requested it is odd. Your file will not be finalized without one so you better hurry up and do it asap.
4. Generally, you supposed to notify CIC about any change in your status, such as work. Howver, since you already passed the eligibility review, i would not bother...but it is up to you.

Hey everyone,

I got my AOR from Sydney intake office with request to undergo medical examination. The fact is, that I did my medicals 6 months ago in order to get my IEC (international experience canada) visa. My application is being forwarded to Warsaw visa office, and I know that medical certificate is valid for 12 months. Has anyone of you had to undergo medicals twice? I'm just wondering if I should get in touch with my VO and let them know about the validity of my certificate.Any suggestions would be appreciated :) I was nominated by Alberta as a skilled worker.

1. Agree. If you received MR and RPRF, then your eligibility assessment is complete.
2. Agree. You should email CPP-O, in addition to eCAS submission, to inform them of the change. I did this, and only takes 1 week.
3. Agree. PCC from home country are require, and its more than likely, they will request a follow up, which will put your app on hold.
4. Not mandatory under new automated email from CPP-O. Especially since CEC is based on past experience, not current. But, you may update them if you wish. I did, just to show that I can find employment in my field (my file is complicated) and the reason for the address change. Up to you, all the same.

Cic may consider your old medical result.

See www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op15-eng.pdf , page 27- section 16.

But, it's at officers descretion. Onus lies on you - inform the visa office immediately.
