Hi guys! I just want to ask the seniors here. Once you are done with the ITA and you receive the final decision that you are good to go to Canada how many months did they give to you to prepare? What is the time frame/months?

some eight months and some twelve months to go to Canada

check with NS case officer who might have called you or contacted you for additional doc/questions if he/she can help you in attaining updated nomination letter

Hi Poonam,

NS case officer has called me for confirming whether you want to go with the same code 2173 or you want me to change it. If you want to change it, i need to go your file again. Because I entered 2174 in my cic account and I got the invitation and ITA on same date.
So I send the mail for modifying the code code. Now it has been a week and now sure what to do now.

It depends on the other factors as well, since all factors are connected somehow in the system, so don't think there is a general rule. but can tell you for my case, that would give me a push of 50 points. rg

I got one question if you can answer -
For scan , all the docs we need to scan like Job Contract, Paystubs, tax docs, and IDs, alltogether is 5 mb or each docs max 5 MB?

I am bit confused please can you elaborate it?

The following reasons which you can include in the LOE:

1. Schedule 4A - Not applicable for PNP Category unless you are applied Business Category

2. Travel History - May not enough due to permitted number of Rows in EE Permanent Residence Application - This can included in LOE

3. Online Degrees - Can explain where PCC was not required for Degrees studied from USA/UK through online/distance mode - There are cased where applications were rejected for not submitting PCC. This will be avoided by Explaining LOE.

4. Quality of Scanned documents - Maximum 5MB is allowed for uploading documents. As a result, we need to reduce file sige which will impact the Quality of documents- Not necessary to explain but always better - Preventive action is better than Corrective Action.

5. Additional documents such as IELTS, Nominee Certificates can Enclose to LOE which you can state as a additional document for their information.

6. Any clarification related to Funds

Any other stuff if you are willing to inform.

ECAS stands for Electronic Client Application Status

Site is here: https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do?app=ecas

Basically you can see some extra information on your application. When you login you can your see you PR application status. It will say In Progress, Decision Made, Under Review (i believe), etc...that's a link that you can click on. When you click on the link it takes you to another page where you have a numbered list of status updates. Here's mine currently:


1. We received your application for permanent residence on August 5, 2015.

2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on August 5, 2015.

3. We started processing your application on August 17, 2015.

4. We sent you correspondence on August 17, 2015. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.

5. We sent you correspondence on September 1, 2015. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.

Those are the "lines" that people are referring to.

So when people have ECAS - In Progress, 5 lines...that's what it means 8)

I have one question wrt education history section in express entry.

how many years shoul go under Complete/full academic years? i guess 16.

as a matter of face we have to provide name of school/college/university plus wes/eca details.

now have you created three seprate rows? say one for higher school, another for secondary school and last one for college/bachelor's? with eca wes repeated for all theae three rows?

please advice.

I ahve created only one row in education history with Complete/full academic years=16

and from and to date of my bachelor institute with eca wes number

I was asuming our personal history section of pr application form will cover this as it includes last 10 yeara of personal history?

I recently observed someone above in this page of forum was asked for schedule A aswell.

Looking forward for seniors reply.

If you want to include additional docs under Experience Certificates such as Employment Contract and Pay slips you can include them. Maximum 5 MB will be allowed for each experience certificate.

For example: you have worked five companies in last ten years which you are going to claim points for you Experience. Therefore, Each experience certificate plus additional docs (Pay slips and Employment contract) will be allowed 5MB.

When personalized checklist will be appeared you can know easily.

If WES evaluated all these Qualifications you can write WES reference number. Others, just choose not available and leave it. Better to describe all qualifications from High School.

May not requested. Some of them are received PPR without Schedule A.

As you said, It was already covered in EE application.
