Yes I am/was in the same boat. Nov 2014 applicant, Test done on 6th-August and online ECAS still shows In Process. Checked the mail just right now and what do we have ? Oath Ceremony for 11th-Dec. Brings closure to a long journey.

Hi Guys,

I had my test on Oct 1st. I was wondering if anyone from October test takers have gotten an Oath invite. I see most LATE September test takers have their Oaths on or before December 10-11. I'm guessing the next oath dates will be for Oct test takers, unless we had a lot of tests in the last week of September. My time line:

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on March 12, 2015.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on March 30, 2015.
We started processing your application on June 8, 2015.
Your file was transferred to the office responsible for your area on June 11, 2015. The office responsible for your area will contact you.
We sent you a notice on September 5, 2015 to appear and write the citizenship test on October 1, 2015 at 10:00 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

Best,
Nik

This is torture by making applicants helplessly wait for
months after test/decision made. Calgary should learn
from other offices in other cities, who are more efficient.
Just need proper planning, gauging number of applicants
vs. number of ceremonies. If fees need to get increased,
that's fine, but better service should be rendered. Is there a way to find, when
calgary will resume sending oath invitations to applicants
in line?? This delay really hampers future planning of applicants,
most importantly Travel, Accepting jobs with Citizenship requirements etc..

Hey guys,

Finally had my oath today at the Harry hays building. It was pretty straight forward: arrived about 30 mins earlier than the time indicated on oath letter. At 8 they started ushering people in the room after taking away PR Card and signing a few more papers. Ceremony started at about 8:30 am and lasted about an hour (there were 84 people taking oath). Main advice make sure you take the oath loud and clear even if it's in French as CIC staff go around the room to see if you are actually saying the oath words. If there is any suspicion that you did not, they have the right to refuse your citizenship (this happened to someone in Ottawa recently). Other than that it was a cool experience and glad the journey has come to an end.

Thanks to all for sharing timelines/advice as it has been a great moral anchor for this whole process!!! :)Good luck to all those who are waiting , it is only a matter of time before you receive good news!! Needles to say PATIENCE is the key word in this process!! :) I will try and remain active on here and provide any info I can. Below is my timeline. Cheers :)

Application received January 23, 2015.
AOR: March 3, 2015.
Started processing : March 9, 2015.
Test on September 1, 2015
Decision made update on ecas: September 2, 2015
Oath Notice sent on November 6, 2015 (ecas updated on November 9 for oath)
Oath Ceremony: November 30, 2015

Cheers,

Honestly no one can tell for sure when it will happen
maybe 1 week or 1 month

as far as I know the ones who did the test between end of august and september are getting invites

My status says Decision Made.

I'm wondering if the RQ could delay it?
