Hi All,
I did my test on Aug 11 and i pass it ( 20/20 ) and the interview went trough as well , but one week before the test i got Fingerprint request and i did it electronically before the test, when i did the interview, everything is fine and i told the officer that i got fingerprint request, he said it is ok, the Oath letter should be within 1-3 months even if i got fingerprint request ( as the result for FP take 3 days to be sent from RCMP to CIC ).

( forget what the CIC site says routine or non-routine ) My question , is some one recently did the FP and got the Oath letter ? if yes, please share the time lines

Did my test today! Everything was super easy and smooth. The test had some questions that I didn't see on practice test. I was sure sure I had 14 correct and the other 6, I kinda guessed it, which made me surprises cause I was getting 100% in all my practice tests. ???
After that we went to the interview. I was a bit nervous cause I've received RQ questionnaire so I had ALL my papers with me, like everything and some extra. The interview "lady" was SUPER nice. She congratulated me for getting 20 on my test (they were telling everyone right there if they passed it), she saw all I had on hands and mentioned how organized I was, she just got my passport and verified the dates with what I had in the residency calculator (I travel a lot) while she was doing that she was just chit chatting about what I do, how nice it is that I travel so much, dint feel like an interview, just as friendly conversation. After that she asked me to sign, said they sent me a fingerprint request and immediately said its nothing unusual, its just because my previous check has expired (I became a PR almost 10 years ago). She told me request was sent yesterday, as soon as they get the "clean record" back, that shouldn't take more than a month for it to be done and then its all done and they will send me the oath letter. She didn't look at ANYTHING else, not my PR, not my license...was all there in front of her eyes but she didn't even touch it, just the one passport. Before I left she congratulated me again for doing so well on my test. All officers (? don't know what they are) were being friendly and nice but I scored cause this lady, I felt like inviting her for tea 8)

In the mean time, my status online hasn't changed in months ;D... that's all its showing in there! If I was depending on it to know anything... lol

Hello

During my test I had a small hiccup, one of my previous address did not match with my previous driving license address. So the interviewing lady asked the reason. I said I was at the process of moving hence used friend's address as mailing address for driving. She kept copy of my new driving license. I asked her if that was an issue, she said no as long as there is an explanation and she accepted my reason. She even wrote the comment at the bottom of the page in front of me that I am considered for citizenship oath and that I would receive oath invitation in 1-3 months. She also asked me to sign this page.

Did any one had such issue like me? What was the experience?

Hi there,

How many guesses can you bring to your oath ceremony? I have 5 or 6 people to go with me, is that too much?

Thank you!

My journey is complete - oath ceromony completed today at the Harry Hays Building.

Arrived just before 1pm -Stood in queue with 89 others and had documents checked. All that was required was our invite form and PR cards - nothing else was asked for.

Ceromony started around 1.45pm - quick chat from the judge, then the oath (done as a group), individually called up to collect certificate and 20 second chat with judge - and then a few more closing remarks from judge and singing of O Canada as a group.

We were out by 2.30pm and picked up passport application forms from downstairs on the way out. They remind you that you have to wait 2 business days before submitting passport applications.

For those still on the journey - good luck, you will get there eventually! When we applied the average was around 2 years - as you can see from the timetable below - it has speeded up significantly since and i guess is under 12 months for those applying now.

Cheers!

Application received: 13th June 2014

Hey Love-Calgary,
I'm an August 2014 applicant, and May 2015 test taker... Still no oath.
