Medicals Examination

My family and I are about to go for the medicals. Does anyone have any clue of what they(Medical test) are looking out for?

They are basically looking out for major diseases that
1) Are contagious in order to prevent People in Canada from contracting it
2) Are expensive to manage in order not to put a heavy financial burden on Canada Health Funds

People with such diseases will have to prove to have sufficient funds or income to cover the required cost of health insurance. Since healthcare is "kind of" free in Canada so u can't be expected to pay directly for treatment, what they require in that case is to present a kind of insurance that could be extended to cover the treatment of such ailment when in Canada.

This is what I know from long time, the situation might have changed, may be somebody else can help inform further.

Good luck with ur medicals and don't worry, may u and ur family never have AIDS or any other hindering disease I pray.
