Hi,
I want to use this opportunity to create a forum for Nigerians who have applied for Quebec immigration for skilled workers and her expecting their Quebec certificate of selection or are awaiting their certificate or had their interview waived or expecting it to be waived.
I believe that it is really expedient for us so that we can help ourselves by sharing our experiences and updating our knowledge about Quebec as a whole.Please,if you have already landed in Quebec,we need you to share your experience and help us out.Presently,there seems to be backlog and no information is forth coming.But i believe some might be privy to some information that others like me do not have.Probably because you have engaged the services of a consultant.We will really need you.

By and large,lets be our brothers keeper.God bless you all.

I applied first in August,2012 but my application was returned from montreal because i sent my money and application differently.It was returned in october,2012 with a letter included stating the reason in french.I then re-sent it in November,2012 and it was received on the 3rd of December,2012.
Since then, i have been waiting for AOR.My joy is that,when the application was returned,on the letter i was given i observed that they have already given me an individual reference number.Infact,i called them yesterday.Though they told me that the one i sent is stiill on queue;they have all my details in their system due to the first one i sent.

I want to believe that they approve of all that i sent if not for the missing bank dradt.I am still waiting.

When and where to submit the application (regular program for skilled workers)

The application for a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ – Québec selection certificate) is normally done from abroad. However, under certain conditions, this application can be made while staying temporarily in Québec as a foreign student.

Submitting an application for a CSQ as a skilled worker signifies that your short term plan is to enter the Québec labour market. If you wish to continue your studies following your current study program, at a higher level for example, you must postpone your plan for permanent immigration.

To be authorized to apply for a CSQ under the regular program for skilled workers, during your stay for studies, you must:

have come to Québec with the primary goal of studying here and hold a Certificat d’acceptation du Québec (CAQ) for studies and a valid study permit, unless exempted by regulation;

meet all the conditions of this certificate and permit;

pursue or have successfully completed a secondary level vocational training program of 900 hours or more, a college studies program, an undergraduate university program of at least 12 months, a graduate program, i.e., a master’s or an advanced graduate diploma (DESS – études supérieures spécialisées), or a doctoral program;

have completed at least half your study program, if its duration is less than 18 months or it is a graduate level or doctoral university program;

or

be 12 months or less from the end of your study program, if its duration is 18 months or longer.

Note that students who expect to obtain or have obtained a 30-credit university undergraduate certificate may not submit their application at the address below.

If you do not meet the above requirements, check where your application must be sent based on your country of legal residence.

If you meet the conditions allowing you to submit your CSQ application under the regular program for skilled workers, you must send your file to the following address:

Direction du courrier, de l'encaissement et de l'évaluation comparative
Ministère de l’Immigration et des Communautés culturelles
285, rue Notre-Dame Ouest, 4e étage
Montréal (Québec) H2Y 1T8
