New passport after passport request letter !

Hello
I got my visa application approveal letter and they requested me to send my passport however my passport was lost and now I have to apply for a new passport which will have a a different passport number from what I apply
would this cause my visa to be rejected after they approved it ?

Sorry to hear that. You should contact VFS and inform them about your situation. PPR letters are 30 day valid i think. I dont think they will refuse your approved visa because you have a new passport.Time is of essence here and find out if you have any tatkal service to get new passport as soon as you can.

What eventually happened with your visa case? I am in similar situation for my parents and would like to know what did you end up sending VAC? Also what is the visa expiry you got did they match the expiry to your new passport?
