Please let me know if you/your friend has a similar situation like me.

I'm an Ontario master stream PNP-PR candidate. PNP certificate was issue in 2016/10 (with expire date of 2017/04). My PR AOR was received in 2017/01. So far everything looks good and I'm buying my first home recently,

Based on the new foreign buyer tax term, the waive condition is,

"
An exemption from the NRST may be available in the following situations:

  • Nominee – A foreign national who is nominated under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (nominee) at the time of the purchase or acquisition, and the foreign national has applied or certifies that they will apply to become a permanent resident of Canada
"

In my case, my PNP certificate was expired. Do I need to ask for an extension to waive the 15% tax. Or another way to ask the question is, is a nominee with an expired certificate still a nominee in the NRST definition ?
