Hi Raz3,

Let us know what's type of comments the visa officer put on the last couple of pages, to let us know what their concerns are.

It says

FOSS checked for sponsor and PA - nothing adverse
Then they wrote a brief description on how we meet

We submitted our re-medical on the 26th November (received the request on the 24th), but haven't heard anything from them. I hope we don't have to go through the hell of waiting 3 months just for them to look at the re-medical. I tried contacting the MP but they refused to inquire until the 17 months mark is up. I guess we will just have to wait.

Does anyone know what FOSS mean?

"FOSS" is a central database of applications which is used in this case to verify that the applicant has not been refused a visa from other visa post.
FOSS also means field operation support system and this system is used by immigration staff to cross reference any information against applicants, If your case is being dealt with inside Canada, your file is likely to be held in the 'FOSS' computer system rather than in CAIPS. The procedure for requesting a FOSS file is identical to requesting a CAIPS file in every way apart from the fact that we need a different type of IMM5475 'Consent to Disclosure' Form.

unfortunately no. 99% you have to face interview once you get interview recommended.

Under your notes does it say eligibility passed? Anything mentioned at all.. Seems like "nothing adverse" means that yourself and sponsored person have passed that FOSS section.

i had interview waived but it was written this way,,,********interview waiver recommended***************

but interviews are smooth i have looked into it,and followed up on forums and how other's interview goes ....
