Hi Everyone,

Its been 16 months in total process already. Now we are losing our Patience.

I have few questions...

Applied in Feb 2014,
At NDVO Mar 2014
Interview 20 May 2015
In Process 20 May 2015

We both appeared for an Interview at NDVO. Immigration officer asked us to check Email for Re Medical Test in Few weeks. Now its a month and No Reply yet.

Generally, How long will it take to get Re medical test Email?
At this point, What do you think guys how many more months to complete process?
Do you guys suggest is it the time to get GCMS notes? How to get those?

It will be really helpful. Thanks to all for helping each other.

How long is PCC valid for? Does it expires when medical expires?
Is it a good idea to get PCC after a year when medical expires... Please advise.

My wife is a Canadian and I am here in India we just received our AOR2 and its long way to go to get visa. I have seen many threads here in the forum regarding to get TRV for spouses is very hard.
Some members got it. I want to take a chance since my wife has a good job in Canada.
I have some queries.

1 I am unemployed right now so how to show in papers to CIC that I have a strong tie that I will return, this is my main
concern.
2 How much funds are needed to show in bank statement.

I think proper paper work can make the thing happen. Please guide

I am very confused! The marriage officer at the local municipal corporation did not issue a marriage certificate based on our nikahnama for the nikah that took place in January. So then we had to go for Court Marriage in end of May.The local consultant who was helping us, got us to declare oursaelves as single and 'divorced' (my husband is divorced) and not declare that we had done the nikah, as that would make matters complicated since they do not recognize Canada divorce certificate and various other issues . Our Court marriage certificate shows date of court marriage 30th May and not date of Nikah 17th January.

Now what do I do? Should I show the nikah or not in my application? Will they raise questions on our court marriage if we show the nikah? We had no option left, we had to go through the court marriage. We did not celebrate the court marriage but had a celebration for the Nikah. Will they have issues with us having had a nikah first and then after a few months doing a court marriage (under section 13) and not under section 15 or 16, which is on registering marriage celebrated in a religious way in court.

Please please help!

Hi There,

How long does it take for stamping....I have received a message from VFS that my visa has been dispatch to my respective visa center in Hyderabad. So does that mean I am done with the last step?? or Is there anything left I need to wait for. my last line in the application status shows "A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision." Please advice and thanks in advance.

My two cents...

Nothing to alarm you guys but I dont understand why you would declare your self as single when you are married Islamically which is a recognized under the Special Marriage Act, 1954; we did a nikah then took the certificate issued by the Kazi and went to the local office and got the marriage certificate - no family no photos just sign. Yes it can be complicated since he was divorced but I am sure many couple in the same situation have gone though this..

First of all having a nikah then doing a court marriage wont be an issue since both are recognized and doing it months after isnt the problem at all; there is a question on the form asking for the religion of the couple which ties into how the marriage was performed and they know how muslim wedding are. Since you have to declare this they will look for a muslim wedding in terms of photos etc and I presume you have all these since you celebrate the nikah then you should definitely provide these because they show a stronger ties with the culture and family then a court marriage with no proof..
