Guys...have been away for long. There is a change in my ecas.

I see Current home address added on the left side of my mailing address. This is canada address with city, state and country. However there is no change in status. i was not checking ecas regularly, however it seems my ecas was not down.

I hope this is a good news and a DM is on my way finally.

A friend of mine has a question , since he is not comfortable with this forum ... I'm helping him get the answer for his question .....

What happenes when your passport expires while your application is still processing ......

He is really stressed .... Pls pls pls share your opinions ...

I think its better he writes to CIC..Since this is much more that asking for status, they will write back.

If his Passport is expiring with in the date of his travel and and if he has already sent his PP to New Delhi then he should get his PP back and apply for an another one and has to send his New PP with an old expired one back again to Visa office.

Processing time varies till 1 year for his/hers depending upon the complexity of application and PP should be valid at least 3 to 6 months from the visa issued date till his medical expires, safer way is to re-apply the PP and then submit it.

I think its better he writes to CIC..Since this is much more that asking for status, they will write back.

He has written end number of times but no reply ....

And some one told him that they will issue the visa on the old pp, but he has to renew the pp before he travels .

His pp has already expired ,, but still his file is in process ....

Will they stamp his visa on the old pp or will they return it for renewal and then he will have to send it to CIC again ......
