Still no news of my wife's passport, both addressess updated but ecas still showing application received! It has been 86 days since the passport was sent....

Lets hope we get some good news very soon for all those waiting patiently....

There's a new procedure that will allow medical validity to be extended if your application processing is completed within 15 months of the original medical exam and the only thing stopping your application from final approved and PPR is the expiration of your medical results (or ability to reasonably land within the initial year-long validity).

Officers will now be able to submit a request for an extension of the medical exam result validity (as long as they were done within the last 15 months) and they can extend them for an additional 12 months without the need for an additional medical exam. The details are on the CIC website.

Hopefully this saves folks time and expense of extra medical exams.

we were part of the bunch that got DM last week but are still waiting for our passport... should we be concerned?

My Application to sponsor my wife was received on Aug 24
Sponsorship was approved on Oct 9
Passport request was made on Nov 4 through email.
Passport was received at New Delhi office on Nov 7

My wife still has not received the passport back.
Its been a month now. How much concerned should I be?

Should she expect an interview call? Do interviews normally happen after the passport requests are made?

Please advice guys

You shouldn't be concerned at all. Some people have sent their passport 4 months ago and they still haven't received it.

I'm traveling to Mumbai in 10 days from Toronto. I hold Canadian passport, and am not from Indian origin. I was wondering if anyone here knows how long does it take to get Indian tourism visa? I'm worried if it takes too long that I miss my flight.

you can get the visa in three days.. just complete the online application, print it, take it to VFS, give money and they will call u when the visa is ready.

hello everybody.
i am mr. luke from india. i got the PR visa . i want to know if i can show the proof of funds in the form of Travelcard from SBI Bank from India or Axis bank from India. i can load the money in ruppes in india and i can withdraw the equivalent currency from canada from any ATM. i can also get a letter from the bank stating that i have loaded the currency equivalent to canadian dollars. i can take the balance statement from any ATM counter. will the immigration officer accept this as proof of funds.
has anybody shown this method as proof of funds. or should i take a Demand draft or Travellers cheque.

can someone please help and advice me on how to proceed.

I guess no one knows the answer for your question.Its been over 80 days for me since I sent my PP and no response from the ND Office yet...

Yes my passport was requested on aug 17 and was received by ndvo only a couple days after. Still no response.
