New Delhi - 2012 applicants

@ MANVEEN...we have the exact same timelines.applied.approval and PPR same day...but we cudnt sent our PP till oct 20 and we din get any 2 email for PP and our case went to process on oct 19 before they got our PP...

yeah we have almost the same timeline... with only difference that i sent my pasport on september 20... and went into process on september 14 th,.

Welcome to the forum Manveen. Your details have been added. Frankly none of use know why its taking so long for CIC and why people who have filed after us have already completed their processing. Its a cause of distress to many. Lets hope all these long waits are over soon.

i have 1 query i went into process even before they received my passport... how and why?

quick question.....did everybody get their father's name added to the address or only some of us??????

in my case no they didn't add my father's name ... but they updated it in oct 1st week sm day... and they updated my surname to my husband's... n no change after that

does travel history Affect in any way... actually i had applied for visitor visa before my marrriage... and i went to canada along with my husband after our wedding... have stayed there for around 5 n half months...
p.s i also have travel history to canada n aus few years ago...

hmmmm....really cant say anythin wts going on...jus hope for best....its so frustrating though...ma case is so simple...1st marriage for both of us..and no travel history n all...th only thing makin me think of delayin our case is we din send our PP fast...bcoz on PPR there was no time limit to PP...

even in my case its 1st marriage for both f us...
yeah cud b tht v hd sent our pasports late... but then there r other may applicants too who r waiting endlesly for visa... except for the lucky few who applied after us...

Hey I submitted my file on 28th dec 2011
But my application was returned to me bcoz I dint not submit medical at first. So i submitted medical with same file as they mentioned me to do within givin time limit.
That wasted my 5month may be more I guess
Later I got sponsor approval on 9 August 2012
PPR on 28 August 2012
Passport received on 30th August 2012.
Right now my status shows
Medical received on so and so date..
It's like 75 days since I have send my passport ..
No travel history for my wife
But she had three passport.
So do you think is this normal?

Passport Sent/Received at New Delhi: 8 th Sep 2012
Approved: Still waiting....

It has been more then 2 months since they received my passport,i don't know what it the delay. Only reason i can think of is that I am in US since last 4 years so back ground check is taking time. But people applying after me have been approved.Also, i was in process before Passport Request. Is there any body whose case is similar to mine: out of country /applied Feb/March 2012. Any guesses/ ideas are welcome.All i need is my passport as i have to attend my brother's marriage in India in mid december

Hi.....we am in the same boat as you...We applied May 30, Passport was sent on August 24th and no news yet.....our ecas still shows application received. Been in the US last 3 years. Not sure what is going on

# If PCC are not Background checks then what are background checks and why are they done?
# Who does background checks?
# Once we submit PCC along with our documents filed that will be more enough to satisfy them for our assessments, but still our cases are delayed, is that
just because for our background checks?
# If they do background checks then why do they require PCC during submissions of our applications?

Yes this is the correct address to send the passport to New Delhi ....Adding PO Box does not make any difference..I used Blue Dart and he said PO BOX is not necessary......

It will be 60 days in 3 days for me since I received and sent my PP..Nothing from the New Delhi as well..Just hoping and keeping patience....

Hey tahsinmohammed your and mine timelines are almost same just 3 days gap, kya hova yaar inprocess abhi tak nahin huva hum do no ka. Inshahallah jaldi hoga toh accha hai.
