How much time can I expect to get the visa ? My case is straightforward.

It takes around 2 months once you sent your passport to ND. so, expect somewhere around end of October or early November, now just sit back and relax , just tell your spouse to be alert , ND can always call, good luck

The PPR email they sent me has my spouse's File # in the subject.
However, the pdf attached in the email is completely different and belongs to the other dude.

Let's hope it sorts out quickly. Does anyone know if a personal visit to the ND visa Office would work in speeding up things?

I do not think they would take personal visits, but you should act quickly and send the Case Specific Enquiry ... but this is pretty unusual from ND, anyways, just make sure you do not sent your passport without proper PPR, there have been cases in the past, that they will lose your passport and that would be horrible.

see, worst case, you will have a delay of month or two, but at least you do not want to lose the passport, good luck , do the right thing and good things will happen,

Guys,
This is regarding spousal sponsorship and currently in the final stage of the process - with PPR received and passport submitted. Since we have submitted the application (Early April), she applied for a visitor visa (Late May) - which was refused for the reason that her PR was in process.

Here's the Q : As this happened after the PR application was submitted, Do we need to notify CHC ND about the refusal? As the original application does not mention anything about it?

Any information regarding this matter will be highly appreciated!

Just wait and watch, your passport has been sent already, you do not want to confuse ND more, they should be able to see your passport and should get an idea. Even if you inform, ND will not reply you immediately..what is done is done...do only what is required, I hope everything goes well with your application

Guys, when we order GCMS notes, can someone tell me around what date the notes are generated ?
I mean it takes 30 day to receive the notes. So, do they generate the notes towards the end of this period or somewhere in the middle ?

Those who ordered their notes, can you guys please check this date ?

Finally I got small change in my ECAS.
Earlier it was just application recvd.
Now it says:

We received your application for permanent residence on March 19, 2012.

Medical results have been received.

Looks like they are working

When did you came to know about the phone interview? I mean in case of interview (usually waived in 98% cases) when they let you know about the interview and how this is communicated to you/

They just randomly call , without any notice ;D for my spouse, it was simple verification and that's it.
