Why do you want to let your status expire? That is a dumb move. Just change the status before it expires.

You don't need a sponsor for a visitor's status. I know you are trying to be sneaky here, but if you tell the truth that you plan to get married and apply for PR immediately, it will help your case. Show you are following the rules.

Get everything ready now, then when you are married, send the PR and work permit applications. Stop working on the expiry date of the IEC.
