Hello everyone! I was hoping to send our file in October......but my husband is still trying to gather all the required papers, copies etc. I do have a few questions regarding certain documents. As you already know, depending which country you are from, it can sometimes take forever to get some papers....and I certainly don't want to extend our process....Here are my questions:
1-Regarding the police certificate: my husband got his police certificate stating that he does not have any police record from the Law Court. Is that sufficient if it has the official stamps on it or does it have to be certified further e.g.: by the Dept. of Foreign Affairs. (I did not see anything about that on the form but just want to make sure).
2-My husband was previously married and divorced. We needed to show his divorce certificate and a copy of annulment when we got married. Do we still have to provide his divorce certificate if we are married and providing our wedding certificate and all required documents related to our wedding. (He is not divorced anymore).
3-He has received his original birth certificate and had it translated. Do we need to have that document certified in any way by another department or will it be accepted if it comes from their "city hall" or I should say their local government institution.
My husband is from Algeria and our VO will be Paris.
Thanks in advance for any help you'll be able to provide. I am hoping to send our file in November the latest!! Can't wait anymore to be reunited!!!
