A friend need someone who can give her clear direction. He got married last month in the Philippines and came back pregnant. She is presently working as a caregiver in Canada with an open visa until 2016. Is her application as immigrant in Canada will not be affected if ever she will bear a child?

Hi solace. She need to update her status from single to married. Then pay additional fees and submit another form to add husband name. If she give birth in Canada automatically the child is Canadian citizen so no problem with the child. She will not be automatically become citizen or pr if she have Canadian child. What's her status now in Canada? Under live in caregiver or already on owp? When did she submit her pr application? About open visa what you mean is open work permit?
