I am from a country that was devasted by hurrican Irma. Is there a possibility to file for asylum or something in Canada? We all have European Passports and are allowed to stay up until 6 months.

No it's not a valid reason. If you have a European passport, you can go live in Europe if you want.

If you come to Canada and try to claim asylum based on this, it will probably be rejected almost immediately.

I figured more or less. I would rather live in canada than Europe but I guess I have no choice.
