You will have to send in an application for a new PR card, pay the fee, and also send with it required documentation to have your name changed on the PR card. It will take as long as the renewal process takes for a PR card.

I changed my name in my passport before I landed so I could get all my documents with my married name. If you have not yet landed and have time before you expect to receive your COPR document, then you should change your name in your passport now so your other documents will be issued with your married name.

If you have already landed, then it doesn't matter. You can change your name on your PR card first, but you will have to pay the fee and send in the application along with required documents after you receive your initial PR card with your maiden name.

Hope that helps clear it up for you.
