Hey guys,

I am from India. My CRS score is 393 and am not really sure shall I go for PR or apply for further studies.
I can score 7 to 7.5 in IELTS. I have 8 years of working experience, the company was in India but it was a Canadian firm.

As per many experts in the business the scores are expected to fall to 380-400 levels by the end of summer. However instead of depending on the scores to fall it would be advisable to get better ielts score and improve your CRS.

you are just 20 points shy of the May31st (last) draw cut off....
the most viable option for you would be to book for IELTS exam (or two in a gap of 3 weeks) a month away and work hard and get a CLB9 equivalent IELTS.... booking the second test just in case u are not able to reach the desired score ,you can right way write the test once the result of the 1st test comes out.
CLB9 : L 8 RWS 7
2.with CLB9 ur scores will increase by about 80 points.
3. U may refer the below post for some tips on preparation for IELTS..there are so many help tips in the forum. Just browse it.

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/ielts-general-practice-tips.500948/

4.Before all this check ur eligibility using 'come to Canada tool' ...just search come to Canada tool CIC in Google, you will get to the CIC page.

I have been on this forum for a long time. And I have seen so many so called experts eat their own words. There was at time people used to throw graphs and detailed PHD Thesis on how the scores will NEVER go below 450. With CIC you can never know. Its been 3 weeks since the last draw and it will again likely go up.

Don't wait for scores to go below. They may or may not go below 400. Write your IELTS again and try and get above 400 for a realistic chance.

Man u never know whats brewing at CIC. Like jhon wrote, yes people were sure that it will never go down 450 and we are at 413, had there been no changes on june 6th and a draw on 14th june would have brought the score further down.
Now the gap is 3 weeks and its quite possible that score will go up marginally with new changes and many additions to the pool, and the score distribution chart will give a clear picture for future trends.
Nevertheless the score will go down in subsequent draws and may take time for it to go below 400, but it will in future may be 3-6 months time frame.

How ever looking at the unpredictability of cic its always better to try and look for options to improve ur score

good luck

If you're serious about this, rewrite IELTS and get listening 8.0 and 7.0 for the rest. Then you will be on your way to Canada.

Good luck buddy.

Hey Gagan,

I think we both are in the same boat with CRS 393, i strongly recommend to retake the IELTS as what i'm planning to maybe by next month.
Anyhow, as mentioned above more than 400 could be an easy piece of cake to achieve.

Good Luck !
