Hi guys,

It seems that you have more points for choosing destinations out of Winnipeg, but do we have to prove that we are going to settle there during the application? And how can I prove that? Can I just pick any random location? I'm close to the cut line from the last draw at 607. However, I put down my destination at Winnipeg, so if I change my destination, that would boost me up over cut line for the next draw. If anyone knows the answer, please let me know. Thanks for your help!

Hi vananhthai, krjoshi2001 is correct. And the proof of your Destination will be the PR Card or the Health Card of your supporter. His/her address is mentioned there.

Anyhow, you have a high Chance to be included in the next draw since your score is, as what you've said, Close to the cut off of the last draw.

Just pray... you will get your LAA very soon!

Please note that the Expression of Interest (EOI) is the 1st step in applying to the MPNP. The MPNP is the immigration program of the province of Manitoba, while the Express Entry is one of the ways in applying as immigrant to Canada through CIC.

If you have no sponsor, you have the option to apply through Manitoba Invitation -->

Exploratory Visits

The MPNP accepts – only during set periods – expressions of interest to make an exploratory visit to Manitoba. Watch this page for news of 2015 intake dates.

Eligibility criteria to participate in visits and missions are subject to change but generally include that you:
•are between the ages of 21 to 45
•can satisfy the MPNP that you do not have a stronger connection to another province
•can demonstrate the employability and adaptability required of all MPNP applicants
•have completed at least a one-year, post-secondary education or training program for which you received a diploma, degree or certificate
•have worked at least two years full-time in the past five years and can demonstrate your ability to find a job in Manitoba in that occupation (including plans to achieve licence/certification in the case of regulated occupations)
•have the genuine intention and ability to economically establish and settle in the Canadian province of Manitoba as a permanent resident demonstrated, in part, with a Settlement Plan
•provide to the MPNP, at the time you apply to participate in the initiative, official results of an approved language test taken within the past two years showing you achieved scores equivalent to at least CLB 5 in each test category and overall.

My First question

Should I eligible for this program ? (because in eligibility criteria its written "Have experience in manufacturing (specifically entry level manufacturing)"

Second question

one of the criteria "Have no other connection to other parts of Canada" (e.i. through friends, relatives or previous employment or education) . menace this programe not require any connection in Manitoba also ? which is the basis condition of Manitoba Nomination Program.

Third question

if I have friend who lived in other province, should I eligible for this program?

So heres my question.

I know that teachers and nurses were not included in the last draw, does this include those who graduated in the same course? Or does it apply only to those who are currently employed in the said professions? Im worried because Im a nursing graduate but my work experience for the past 7 years since i graduated is under noc 6314 customer service (bpo company). Does it count? Or are they only checking for the employment background and not education?

Im kinda worried i might get rejected. Im the principal applicant and i will apply for my kid and hubby. :'(

As far as I am concerned, my belief is that, the basis of the term "occupation" is the applicant's job in the last 5 years. Regardless of his/her course/diploma. Like me, I have two college diplomas, but in the past 5 years I am working in the business field which is far different from my courses. Remember our NOC Code is based on our "occupation".

College/Uni diplomas will give you points but its not the basis of our occupation. This is my take on this issue.

It doesnt have to be the perfect match, as Long as your actual duties in your work include some of the duties mentioned in that particular NOC. Otherwise check the 'Classified elsewhere" section just below it.

randeep108 is correct, though if you have a previous experience, preferably in the past 5 yrs, in manufacturing (specifically entry level manufacturing), and as Long as you're willing to apply to such Position if you happen to land in Morden as Immigrant, but since you said you have a Connection through a friend in othe provinces, then that will put your application to the not-so-strong case or might be ineligible for it... But cheer up, ist not the end of the world, if you cant be in to a particular program due to some circumstances, try other route! In this case, i believe the best Card for you in this game is the Exploratory Visit or the Manitoba Invitation stream... you then have to check the MPNP Website for the next intake.

Hi, just my 2 cents... unless your "current occupation" is regulated (i.e you have to obtain a professional license from a manitoban body) and given your work experience, they won't check if your field of study matches, and they won't reject you.. but you will still receive points for being a university graduate

Personal information
* ID: birth certificate of me, my family and my connection in Winnipeg (done)
* Marital status: certificate of no marriage, me and common law (done)
* Residence: passport (done)
* Dependants: my daughter's birth cert (done)

Education
* College diploma (me and my common law) - authenticated done
* college transcript (me and my common law) - authenticated done

Note: if you say, for example, that you completed high school and university, you must upload transcripts and a certificate for high school AND transcripts and a certificate for university. <--- do i have to get my high school diploma authenticated too? or just scan the diploma itself and it will do?

Certified translation into English or French is required for each document issued in another language. <--- How and where do i request for this one? is it the same as the authentication letter? im kinda confused haha

Employment
* Submit documents showing work history for the past five years and do not include jobs that were six months or less: <-- accumulated years for past jobs, correct? :'(

* signed letter of reference <- if this is same as Certification of Employment for my current job (4 1/2yrs) then im done with this. i just had to request another COE for my previous jobs (2 years worth)

Settlement Funds
* Submit copies of bank statements and certificates of deposit demonstrating a clear financial history of sufficient and transferable settlement funds (liquid assets) in your name and/or the name of your spouse or common-law partner <-- my partner and I can combine our funds to sum up with the amount required, right? or does the bank certificate only has to be under my name since im the principal applicant? liquid assets - hmmm?

6314 is for supervisory position.
I believe there is a separate NOC for you, try looking at call center jobs and match your job on the description carefully.

By the way I have the same case as yours, I am a Nurse but I did not practice my profession for the last 5 years, I worked as a Health Care Assistant in England and now working as a Supervisor in BPO Company.
I am also worried since my profession is really far on my current job but I think Canada is very considerate with regard to that as long as you can show them proof of your previous employment/s.
