MPNP Application 2014 for FILIPINOS

My sponsor just had his interview a while ago.
Status is still "in process" after 6 weeks since it change on Sept 2.
The officer told him that they will send the result within a month! Hope for a positive outcome.
God is really good all the time.Prayer really works.

Yes it is true. Its all up to us. And minsan yung iba pride ang ipinaiiral. I posted it here kasi makakarelate tayo mga pinoy tungkol sa pagstart from scratch. Kaya nating gawin lahat for our family no matter how hard it is, and also because we believed that there is always sunshine after the rain...

hi miss ley, i have read the article and some of which is true. my aunt warned us about it. that when we go there we would have to start from scratch. that not to expect for a bed of roses when we arrive. my cousins who were graduates of ateneo and lasalle had to wash dishes in vancouver, had to do odd jobs. it all dpends on us if we can take it seeing ourselves doing labor jobs and getting minimum wages at first. theres a ladder to climb, and most has to start from base 1. it takes humility, hardwork and zero pride. just depends on us. my cousins have now exited from those situations. one is a photographer with his own studio, i dont know the other two. but they rent a condo in the city which they couldnt afford if they still earn what they did when they were still cleaning dishes.

This so true. Its not hard for us (Filipinos) naman to adjust and start from nothing. Lalong lalo na we have our familys with us. Gagawin ang lahat in order to surive. Yung kapatid nga ng papa ko na may ari ng shell (gas staton) dito sa aming province work as a nanny, cleaner etc..
Kayang kaya natin yan..

The story is actually true that most migrants has to start from scratch... that is a fact regardless where you go - Canada, USA, Australia, GCC etc. You have to first prove yourself, establish your connections before you get anywhere. Coming from the GCC, enjoying the tax free salary, and the other perks of the gulf hospitality, I somehow understood his sentiments, pero hindi ako in agreement sa mentality at point of view nya in general.

Just my two cents, minsan kasi we have to compare ourselves to a bamboo, no matter how high it stands, it can bend with the wind without breaking. Masyadong mataas tingin ng writer sa sarili nya kaya sya dumanas ng ganon. Life is all about sacrifices, majority ng nagtatagumpay has to work hard to reach where they are now. I know that most of us ay nag-aral (nagsunog ng kilay) para maging professional at ung iba nag-aaral pa para ma-upgrade ang knowledge nila. In my opinion, we just have to face reality .... to reach the top, we have to start from the bottom. To learn to walk, a child has to crawl first and make baby steps. (Although may ilang lucky few who's born with a golden spoon and influence kaya nasa top agad you know what I mean.) We just have to learn to live within our means... kailangan tayong matutong mag-adjust... change is the only thing permanent in this world anyway.

We can just consider the write up as an eye opener. We should be prepared for the worst case scenario, so when it happens (God forbid), we are prepared.

Walang wala po ito nung una akong mag abroad, balikan natin 2007. Ang anak ko tatlong taon palang tapos kakakasal lang namin ng asawa ko 2004.Saudi arabia pupuntahan ko at hindi ko alam ang dadatnan ko. Paglapag palang sa airport ng riyadh akala ko nasa ibang planeta ako kc iba na lahat salita at suot ng mga tao. Sabi ko para ito sa pamilya ko. Hunyo ng dumating ako at madaling araw at ang temperatura ay aabot ng 50 degrees pag araw hanggang 55 degrees. Diko alam saan titira kc leave out kami at walang company accomodation. Kasama ko apat na pilipino sa iisang kwarto at mga kasama namin sa isang flat mga ibat ibang lahi, pakistan, bangladesh at mga indiano. Ibat ibang mga ugali at mga amoy hehehe. Siksikan sa isang kwarto na apat kayo. Sabi ko walang wala ito sanay ako sa hirap sa pinas at kahit saang lupalop ako ng mundo ay kakayanin ko dahil andiyan si God at sa pamilya ko. May mga pagkakataon na babastusin kapa ng mga arabo habang naglalakad sa daan Ayun nakatiis ako ng straight 3 years na walang uwian. Kaya yang canada na yan kahit anong trabaho papasukin ko. Noon nasa saudi pala ako nagpapart time din akong mag dish washer, waiter at aircon cleaning. Lahat papasukan basta legal. Yung nagsulat na ito parang di dumanas ng hirap kaya ganun.

Ley, very true...but there are also people who persevered and got that Canadian dream...One has to start from scratch...and immigrants should be prepared for it...a new immigrant should work hard and study hard....there's always light at the end of the tunnel...there are several thousand of immigrants who are successful...I met many Filipinos who went through all this hardship...but look at them now...they are living a good life...Canada is a great place for raising kids--talk of good education and free health care. If you get laid off..there is employment insurance and the government provides free training to help you get a job. If you want to study to get a new career...the government will support you by giving you student loan with minimum interest. In contrast to Dubai, living in Canada is good when you look at it long term because you become a citizen of Canada...whereas in Dubai you are not even granted a permanent residency let alone a citizenship. I've lived in Canada, the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland...all I can say is Canada is still the best place to live if you look at it long term. In Canada, people own a house much easier than the people living in these countries I've mentioned.
Take home message: new immigrants should be prepared to work their ass off...and shed off their ego...it will be worth it in the long run

Ang kailangan lang naman sa tao ay yung humility at leave by your means. mas gugustuhin kong magpala ng yelo sa manitoba at nakikita kong nakakapag aral ang mga anak ko at libre ang padoktor sa sarili namin. Mahal ko ang ating bansa subalit napakahirap ng manirahan sa kadahilanang laganap na masyado ang krimen at sobrang pataas ng pataas ang tuition fee para sa mga bata. Di bale nakong magpala ng 10 taon basta in the end of the day meron akong kumpleto, malusog at kasamang pamilya. Ano bang masama kung maghugas ka ng plato or maging janitor. Tandaan natin wala tayo sa bansa natin hindi natin pwedeng ipagmalaki kung ano natapos natin at kung ano meron tayo dito sa pinas. Kapag naging citizen kana tsaka ka mag expect. Simple lang buhay. Pupunta tayo sa canada para gumanda ang buhay hindi ibig sabihin na yumaman bagkus ay makuntento tayo at mamuhay ng masaya

baka naman laking sosyalera yung nag post gusto agad principal teacher paglapag sa canada. aba bongga! nasubukan nya kayang mag tanim ng palay mais mag araro sa bukid? hahahahaha ako trabaho ko lang sa canada kahit taga pitas ng kamatis basta limpak ang kita go ako! hahaha invest ko lahat sa pinas then saka ako uuwi. pero sana makapasa muna ako? pero kung hindi naman ok lang may trabaho at negosyo pa din naman dito. good luck and god bless all!

Well all I can say is the competition in Toronto is very very high, I read a story of a filipino immigrant who is an accountant in the Phil. She & her husband strive to reach to top, she is now working as an accountant in Toronto...

Bka kala nya kc mataas posisyon nya sa Dubai, pag dating dun ganun din ang dadatnan nya.... Start from scratch and keep your head high as long as your work is legal and your doing good!!!!!
