Hi,
I need some help regarding relocation to Canada. I am Canadian Citizen, worked in USA for 6 months on TN visa and now planning to go back to Canada.
I am planning to use Uhaul trailer with my car.
My questions are,
1. Do I have to pay duty/tax for my household goods, and if then what and approximately how much?
2. Do I have to pay duty/Tax for my car? I purchased my car in USA and it is 2010 model.

Thank you very much in advance,
Tina

Thank you very much. But if I am using this car since last 3 months, then too I will have to pay 13% GST/HST??
If I include my car also as my personal goods, then too I will have to pay taxes??

From reading the link above it sounds like you will have to pay taxes and duty based, I suspect, on the current "blue book" value of the vehicle.
