Moving after 3 years of PR. Does it count towards citizenship?

Hi,

I have a PR issued, and I wanted to know if I moved to Canada 3 years after the PR was first issued, and I renew it , do those 2 years I lived before renewal count towards my citizenship ? In other words would I still be eligible for Citizenship after completing my 3 years in total or does it have to be 3 years under the same PR card.

Apologies if my question is not clear !

Thanks for your help.

Just so there is no confusion the 3 years physical presence as a PR must be in the 5 year period preceding the date you submit your citizenship application.
