Hi Montreal applicants,
It seems the application process progress quiker in certain places such as Toronto. However Montreal applicants seems to be processed slower when compared to the timeline from most of the Canadian cities.
I started up this topic to have an idea about from "in process date" to the "date of the test".

My timeline :
Application received : November 21, 2013
In Process : February 22, 2014
Disappearence of Received line? : No. As of today it is still there

Just called CIC to get an update about the status of my application and I was told my file is still in Sydney.

The conservative party willingly reduced the number of CIC offices to 1 in Quebec to punish them for the last elections results not moving towards them.. but they will taste bitter luck next year

It seems that Montrealers should wait at least between 10 months and one year from the day CIC recieves their applications to write the test

You'll find timelines from Montreal in this tabulation:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ArnuR0El8SEtdEhMS0dQNEQwVXppZ3VDdWNsVlM0TXc&usp=sharing#gid=0

A few applications submitted from summer 2013, have already been granted citizenship. It's still on a case to case basis.

I might get an RQ as I traveled a lot for the company I work for (2 pages residence calculator printout :) ).. or probably I might not.. let's see..
