yes, i have my appointment already but i forgot to ask the price. That is INSANE!!! the first i got in Guadalajara were around 1,000. Honestly that should be regulated

I completely agree!! it is outrageous, especially for an average mexican wage.
we had to borrow money from my dad to pay it.
when my spouse got his first exam in vancouver it was only $150, alot cheaper.

they should regulate it. especially if they are constantly going to keep taking doctors off the list. its enough to have to pay for the travel expense to get to mexico city, let alone also the really expensive exam.

So it has been 7 weeks since our application was transfered to Mexico City, what does everyone think, should we hear something soon ? Should i send a case specific enquiry ? starting to get a little anxious !

if i were you i would wait another couple weeks. than if still nothing send one.
some people get the aor after 2 months. but lets hope they send it asap!

i have been gone for a while and i guess for those that don't remember me ..... my application was refuse do to the fact that we were not able to provide the police certificates (e.g. PGR) anyhow to make my story short we won the appeal..... and as you may have guess i m beyong static, and happy and the waying begins againnnn....

anyhow mc1234 i just wanted to ask you something you said something about the medical office close in merida, sorry i m not sure if that is what you meant, so medical exams are only done in mexico city is that correct...... because i m pretty sure my husband has to do it again can you please reply thank you......

Yeah they took off the one in Merida off the list, I think now you can only do the medicals in Mexico city, Cuidad Juarez and I cant remember the other city. Good for you for winning the appeal! I wondered what happened to your case. How long did it take for you to appeal?

It seems like recently they haven't sent them out as often as before. If I were you I would wait another week or so and then email them, it seems like after that they send the AOR and Police requests and anything else they may need.

I have no idea how to prepare my spouse. All i know is right now, he is very unprepared.

Hi!.
I had an interview at Mexico City.
I was impressed on how prepared the officer was for the interview. I mean, he had all my paperwork spread on his desk and ready to fire his questions.
What I found interesting was that he pulled the photos we included in the application and started asking small details as "I see you fishing in this photo... where was this taken?", and then went to the ones about the wedding and asked: "who is this person on this photo?", or "where was the reception held at?".
I think they already have studied your file meticously and have in mind specific questions mixed between trivial questions to disguise them.
They may even have made up their mind about the decision but just want to make sure...

Interesting to hear the representative hasn't heard a word from the Embassy while the MP says PPR has already been made...
I suppose I would go to the Embassy if posssible with the passport right away and enquire about it...

There's a few descriptions of interviews early in the Mexico thread so that may help.

Some other thoughts, FWIW:

First, don't worry. You and Mr. itscoezy know your relationship - it's a matter of explaining it to a third party. It's probably not specifically about anything you did in the application but more about giving the VO a chance to better understand your relationship.

Consider printing out any additional proof of your relationship that you may have since your application (e.g., wedding invitation from your sibling who got married addressed to both of you, flight information to show you flew together to the wedding, more recent photos, info on phone calls).

If you got your GCMS notes already, they should give you an insight of the questions they have. I would surmise there's likely to be questions around why you haven't gotten married (I've noticed folks reporting this question lately), plans for the future, as well as trying to better understand his plans for when he moves (good thing he's visited already so he can talk first hand about that!). It may also be a chance to assess how you communicate with each other given that your backgrounds are quite different.

Also, I think some of your blog posts would be helpful to show how intertwined your lives are such as the post on your reactions to the shower, the A/C and Canada/Mexico, and even the burn. They would also show how supportive your family and friends are of the relationship. Consider printing out your blog with comments from your friends and family (and perhaps updating it to include info on the trip). Consider having him take a copy of the application and evidence you've submitted so he can refer to it if it would help answer any questions. Make sure he's familiar with it so he can find items as quickly as you would be able to.

Try to turn the trip into something fun for the two of you to share.
