where in Canada are you ? I found one of your posts interesting. when CBSA came to your door. OMG - that must of been a horrible feeling for the both of yo. Looks like you and I can write a book when this ends !

In central Alberta.
red deer to be exact. I don't like it though, I grew up here but lived in Vancouver for 4 years before the sponsorship. but now im back here until my husband gets here than we will make a move somewhere else, not sure if well go back to Vancouver or go to Calgary, but either way not staying here lol.

oh it was horrible!!

we were still in bed, watching tv, about to get up and take the pup to the beach, and it was probably about 8am that they buzzeed the apartment and i answered and said we would be right out (cuz our buzzer doesnt work to open the front door) and like i said we were in bed, so we had to get dressed, and than they buzzed again like u better let us in! i was like yeah hold on a second im in my jammies!
than i guess someone else in the building let them in cuz next thing they were banging on our door like they were gunna break it, which made our dog really angry cuz shes a trained guard dog. HEADACHE! lol and the worst part was they were so rude to my husband like he was a criminal or something and I even said hi goodmorning to them and they just looked at me and completely ignored me. I was so irritated!! like come on have some manners.
anyways than they handed him a letter and told him he had an appt to attend and they left.

was not a good feeling, I was crying and we were really scared what was going to happen to everything, I felt like he was being taken away from me.

oh yeah!! my family always tells me I could easily write a book with everything weve been through!,

we should both write books!! lol its really interesting to be able to share these experiences and stories with others, cuz a lot of people have no idea how this process works or how u are treated etc.

The part that really bothers me.....I dont understand why they continue kicking out people when there is a Sponsorship in process. It is 2013 and surely they can connect the dots. Arent we supposed to be a compassionate country ?

One last question. One of the things they asked for is 'copy of your valid passport page' I know eventually, they will ask for his passport but Im thinkng maybe this is the same (due to the fact that we won on appeal and its supposed to move fast) What do you think ?

yeah it doesnt make sense to me that anyone who was a failed refugee has to leave to country even with a sponsorship in process. but the people who are illegal, don't have to leave the country with a sponsorship in process, they say as long as u don't get caught ebfore step 1 approval but I have had friends who got caught before step 1. and they were allowed to stay and wait it out they just cant work or anything.

and im not too sure about the passport thing.
if they asked for a copy I would send a copy and than wait till they ask for the actual passport too.

at least u know they are working on ur file cuz they updated ur ecase,
just have to keep waiting for the aor and the police certificate request.

if u want to speed up getting ur police certificate request letter, u can send a dhl prepaid waybill to the embassy and they will mail u back ur police certificate letter via dhl rather than regular mail which could take up to 30 days to receive.

Noo thats not true at all. It took them 5 months to send uss the request for police certificates!
And we got a positive selection

U should write the info of the adress in mexico where u want it delivered but with the applicants file number, name and stuff on it. So they know which file to match it up with when it arrives.

I would send it now because im impatient and always try to do anything that would make it faster.
but if u want to wait and see if u get the letter soon u can, and if not than send it.

So would you believe that air transat won't fly my hubby home because he is mexican? I explained to them that he is going to have all proper documentation to enter Canada but they refuse to let him on. My mom, daughter, and I are staying at the Decameron for a week and we are flying with air transat. We were able to book my hubby through them into the hotel, but they won't let him return on the flight with us even if we pay the full package price. Isn't this ridiculous when he is going to have all documents in order to enter Canada. Any suggestions? Should I even bother to talk to a manager at Air transat. I think that this policy is totally unwaranted. I would understand not letting somebody who has no documents to fly, but this is totally different....

i think you should contact the manager,
because he has a valid passport, as well as a valid visa to get into canada, and his copr. there is no reason he cannot fly.

i just looked on their website and it says nothing about not being able to fly with simply a visa instead of the actual pr card.

I would be livid if i was you

every other airline allows u to fly with a visa, that just doesnt make any sense,

unless there is some sort of mistake.
