How did you know? I mean how to find out that if it is scanned or not?

typing your tracking number in Canada Post website. Like TruongAn said, only the item delivered, they will notice you by email.

Based on my observation, Canada Post email notification system will not tell you when the package is accepted. It will only tell you when it is delivered. That being said, You must manually track your package acceptance at Fort Erie by entering your tracking number and you will see the result on their website.

If your passport has stayed with Buffalo for more than 2 weeks, good chance it will be dropped at Fort Erie tomorrow.

Hmm. Not so exciting if it going to be tomorrow, b'coz i have to wait till next week to see that coming/delivered.Hoping it was sent yesterday.

Its more like my homepage lol .. is ur address back? I think the first 2 weeks in January should see many of us getting PPR.

I assume you took note of tracking # on the envelop that Buffalo will use to send you back your passport. You will not use the tracking # on the envelop you used to mail out to them to track for the return.

Buffalo drops off/ pick up their mails at Fort Erie twice a week on Wednesday and Friday but this schedule may be changed due to holidays and busy border crossing these days. Check on Canada Post website again tomorrow (Friday).

DM on Ecas means your visa has been stamped, your file has been closed and Immigration Section has finished their part, you should not contact them for the return of your passport. Let them deal with other waiting cases.

I just have a very quick question. My ecas changed to decision made on Dec 23'11 (Friday). Does that mean my PP was sent back to Fort Erie the very next day? If so the next working day was Dec 28th (Wed). Is this how the chain of events are? What is the usual time from change in ecas to DM to receiving PP?

You are correct - that is how the chain of events should work.

I would assume either Wednesday Dec 28 or Friday the 30th. Have you checked on Canada Post?

I have been constantly checking my canada post package (with the tracking #) since yesterday. It does not say if it is accepted/scanned at Fort Erie and on it's way. I am assuming i ll only find out once i receive it at home. Well i hope something comes up tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Yes you can go Buffalo in person on tuesday and thursdays before 10:00 am

It's high likely you will able to track it today at 11am.
