Hello guys,
One of the parameters in urine test is a little above the medical range. Can I get my medical test for the second time and submit the new report if the results are better? will it be a problem?
Thanks
KKumar
I will depend on which parameter and how much over the range it was. In most cases a urine analysis for the immigration purpose is done via the dip stick or a test strip method. In most cases they measure pH, Specific gravity, Blood in urine.
Diseases of the kidneys and urinary tract are also diagnosed through the dip test by monitoring the following:
1. Protein testing, Hemoglobin and myoglobin testing, Carbohydrate metabolism disorders, Glucose test, Ketone test
2. Liver diseases and haemolytic disorders - Bilirubin test, Urobilinogen test
3. Urinary infections - Nitrites test, Leukocytes test
If one of your parameters is over the limit it means nothing, unless it is way over the limit. In that case the doctor will recommend further tests to rule out any disorders.
The parameters can also be high for various reasons like what you ate immediately before the test, your diet etc. So unless the doctor sounds an alarm, don't panic.
If something is irregular in your medicals, how do you ever find out?
Panel physicians should provide you with a copy of the results they transmit to CIC. If the panel physician who conducted your medicals did not provide you with one, ask him to give you one.
