Hi guys, quick question. Me and my wife are waiting on our marriage certificate to arrive before starting the sponsorship program (We got married in Cuba x.x, takes forever). Now, she tried to book an appointment in Moscow to get her medical exam, and they told her they can't, and the sponsorship program needs to be sent in first, then she gets paper work to bring to them, THEN they can do it.

What? I thought we needed this medical exam BEFORE sending the sponsorship application in... Can anybody shed some light on this for us? I'm totally confused and have no idea what she has to do now =\.

Thanks a lot guys

EDIT: On a totally unrelated note - for the sponsorship - I want to send in our chat logs of the last 3ish years. This is over 15 000 pages. Can I print some out (Say from beggining when we met, half way, and recent), and place the rest of the chat logs on a CD for them and explain it's on there? There's no way I can print over 15k pages.. haha))))

Tell them that it is an upfront medical for spousal sponsorship. Yes when applying outland a medical must be obtained when applying for sponsorship .

Do not send them a CD they specially ask you not to . Just send a few from start middle and to present day or a page from each month .

Hi,

I can't speak to your first question, but regarding the 15k pages of chat logs...

No. You should take snippets from stages throughout your relationship (maybe less than 50 pages???) and tell them that if they need the remaining 14,950 pages, you will be happy to provide them. I don't know that CDs/DVDs are acceptable anyway.
Wow...15,000 pages of chat logs?!?! That's amazing!

Good luck.

Note: Photo's must be lose. Do not send them in binders, albums, frames or other such containers. Do not send video discs or video cassettes. Do not send Musical greeting cards or other similar documents . Do not send any electronic or mechanical devices . No cd's or usb devices .
Hope this helps .

When i called to make a medical appointment , they told me the same , thing , then i advised them i was doing an outland spousal sponsorship. They then told me they email the results when asked for by CIC and they will even provide the photo's , they will do them on site to attach to the application . Nothing to bring except identification and a cheque or cash .

you can print the medical portion of the application and take it with you. The doctor will fill it out . Thats what i did with my wife. We did her medical exams before sending her application in. When we had all our evidence and forms filled we included the medicals in our application and sent it all in.
btw she is living in ecuador im in canada /

I'm going to Boston Monday for mine but I can't find the forms I need anywhere. It's panicking me. I don't want to go there just to have them not do it because I'd love to get this done. I thought it goes online now. But they said I need forms. They know what country it's for. I will have my passport and pictures that I know I need.

I know it says you need to submit before sending application in but you don't need to do that, same goes with police reports. Send application, and whatever else you have, such as photos, certificates etc. for the chat-logs, don't send a CD and don't print 15,000 pages, do maybe 5-10 pages with relevant stuff.

We submitted out sponsor form, and PR application without a lot of things. And complimented at a later date, what we also did was to write on a seperate sheet of paper what you WILL be sending in, and why you are not including it initially. For instance i was waiting for a FBI clearance cerificate for 5 weeks, told them the FBI is slow in processing these and that i will send it in once i have it.

The doctor should have it all. If he doesn't, tell him to call CIC so they can send him the forms.
