May 2014 CEC-PR Applications

I guess the background check started when we got MR.

At This stage we can just guess....Till we get some response from them...

My Application was received by CIC on May 26th 2014 and since then, havent received any communication on my next steps.
Please let me know what should i do.

The application status shows "Application Recd on May 26th"

for me its only shows:
1. We received your application for permanent residence on May 8, 2014.
2. Medical results have been received.

I also think that part of the speed equation depends on the country you are from. I believe people from Europe and the Caribbeans for example, have faster processing compared to applicants like me from India, if all else equal. Probably due to the ease with which the VO can get info or confirmation from embassies or other sources. Just a hypothesis from me...

I guess it also depend on VO.
I have Application received 12 May.
Medical received (confirmed by email on 28 Oct 2014).
And still waiting for the 3rd line to appear.
But I know that in December they started to check out my Police certificates, I guess VO was confused with my Bilingual certificates, and they asked me to provide certified translation.
After my explanations , they replied that I do not need to provide them.
I guess at that time they started to look over my file, but then wrongly thinking that something is missing , and just left it aside

You should order GCMS notes to figure out whats going on with your file

Your file might be up for a review by another visa officer. You should order GCMS notes to find out what's going on with your file.

People from India seem to get PR faster than anyone else do!
