My ECAS updated "In Process" last September 17.. I got my AOR Sept 4, Med Request Sept 11 and RPRF request Sept 17. I just got done with my medicals last Sept 23 and I'm pretty sure they haven't forwarded it yet to the Immigration. My VO is in Ottawa.

Does anybody here have the same timeline as mine? I just think mine is a little different compared to the usual. I'm not sure if it's a good thing. :-\

Upon checking with timelines of others, it is quite faster if your visa office is within Canada other than outside the Canada.. :)

Hi elghoids0012

While checking the ECas status, do you select "Inside the Canada" in the drop down or "Outside of Canada". I am asking because I am inside the canada, but if I select "Inside Canada" option in ECas, it does not show PNP option in the list. So I go ahead and select from outside Canada. Either way - I could get my status, but was wondering selecting one over other has any effect at all.

Thanks.

I'm already here in Canada but i would always choose outside Canada whenever I log in just because it's got the PNP option. I don't think it will matter though.

Does anyone know if the landing process after getting Visa stamped can be done in Ontario or it has to be done in the province you got selected for?

For example: I stay in Ontario currently and I have US border very near, so
1. I just do the landing process at the border and then travel to NS when I get things ready and receive PR card OR
2. I can complete landing process in Ontario and give NS address for PR card to receive at NS address OR
3. I have to complete Landing process at Halifax International Airport and give NS address for PR card.

I would love to go for 1st option, but want to check if someone knew about this already.

Thanks.

Hi,
I have applied for the PR in august 2013 through OPNP - international masters graduate program. This program does not require you to have a job and I did not have a job when applying for PR as well. I am waiting for the AOR. However, does anyone know if you need to inform CIC if you get a job after applying for PR.

Thanks

I dont think it would matter what you select, because in the end the result will be the same. You are looking for the same file either way.
