hi everybody
long time no AOR :?
I've a question. at the time we applied, Academic IELTS was acceptable but now only general. regarding the fact that I have not yet forwarded my documents can I send my academic version or should I take a new general test??
DUH.... I feel dizzy about the canadian attitudes.

Hi Shimax,

Its simple if your application was reached to CIC before 26th June you have a option for both Academic and General as you fall under old rules. If you send your application after 26th June then you will have to re-take the IELTS under General Module.

Initially, I was thinking the app process would follow mine, but hers is much delayed. Here was mine:
VO: Manila
App to NS: July2009
1st AOR: Sep 2009
Full docs to VO: Jan 2010
Medical Reqst: Mar 23 2010
Reqst for Passport: May 2010
Passport returned: Aug 2010 (this was delayed because I left for 1 month and didn't submit my passport until end of June!)
Completed all Mandatory / Optional Seminars: Aug 2010
I guess this timetable is not being followed anymore. I can only imagine how difficult it has been for all of you guys.

But, all I can say is ... it's worth the wait. Have faith. When you get your 1st AOR, everything else goes rather quickly ... especially when you reach the end portion when you have to actually start packing and selling off things you've accumulated over the years, and arranging shipping for the rest! Really, you'll wish you had a bit more time.

Stay positive and believe that in the long run, things happen in perfect timing!

You should submit all the package of documents, contents of those are specifically mentioned in Visa Office specific forms page:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled-mission.asp

Find your Visa Office and you will know what should you submit. It's written pretty clear there.

It's a mess now. I am voting for previous table style.
The sense of this thread to know when someone gets AOR.
VisaSpecific actions (e.g. full package, AOR-2) is different for everyone as there many applicants from different countries.
Probably, they will leave this thread after getting AOR.
So, lets keep the old style.
