Question:

Will the Master of Science( MSc) in Mathematics (2 years course, details posted below) will be considered as second bachelor's degree while selecting Education (Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees. One must be for a program of three or more years)?

Also, B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education, 1 year course, details posted below), can it be counted towards anything, assuming minimum Bachelors is done?

A problem is:
For Master of Science in Mathematics, WES provide contradicting Equivalency. As shown below, in first evaluation, it is should as Bachelor's degree but 1 year study in second one.

1st Evaluation:
Credential 1
Country of Education: India
Name of Degree: Bachelor of Science
Name of Institution: Punjabi University
Equivalency in Canada: Bachelor's degree (3 years)

Credential 2

Country of Education: India
Name of Degree: Master of Science
Name of Institution: Punjabi University
Equivalency in Canada: Bachelor's degree (4 years)

2nd Evaluation:
Credential 1
Country of Education: India
Name of Degree: Bachelor of Science
Name of Institution: Punjabi University
Equivalency in Canada: Bachelor's degree (3 years)

Credential 2
Country of Education: India
Name of Degree: Bachelor of Education
Name of Institution: Punjabi University
Equivalency in Canada: Bachelor of Education

Credential 3
Country of Education: India
Name of Degree: Master of Science
Name of Institution: Punjabi University
Equivalency in Canada: 1 year of graduate study

depends on which country the qualifications were achieved. It varies from country to country even university to university as well.If you have specific query like achieved degree from x country and y university then your question can be easily answered.

Assuming, you have done a four years Bachelors prior to to your MSc and B.ED,you can claim points for two or more degrees. But your initial BACHELORs has to be a 4year course from a good indian university.

The bachelor's degree is 3 years (Bachelor of Science, in Mathematics) from a reputed university.

in that case there is 70% chance that when you go for assessment with WES or IQAS ,they will assess your 3 degrees together as one Bachelors and another PG dip-canadian equivalency, but there is a good chance they might consider all 3 degrees full 4years canadian bachelors degree.in first scenario you can claim points for 2 or more degress and 2nd scenario just for bachelors.

Thanks for the detailed response.
Will thi s be confirmed only by WES after applying or can they/someone else can confirm before apply?

Does second evaluation mean it cannot be considered for 2 or more??
SECOND ONE means it is 2 degrees or more.only way to confirm is by going through with the assessment unless you know someone from these universities who have done the assessment before, may be only they can help.

Have a look at the criteria to get points for two or more...

Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees.
Important notice: One must be for a program of three or more years.

ECA assessment results:

A three-year or more certificate, diploma, or degree

PLUS any of the results in the sections below (not including secondary/high school), or:
  • Post-Bachelor's Certificate
  • Post-undergraduate certificate
  • Post-Bachelor's Diploma
  • Post-undergraduate diploma
  • Graduate Certificate
  • Graduate Certificate with a focus in [area of concentration]
  • Postgraduate certificate
  • Postgraduate Diploma
  • Graduate Diploma with a focus in [area of concentration]
  • Graduate diploma
  • two-year Postgraduate Diploma, specializing in [name of discipline]
  • two-year Bachelor’s after degree with a focus in [area of concentration]
  • one-year Postgraduate Certificate in [name of discipline]
  • Dual Bachelor’s degree (four years)

For your 1st evaluation if you want to claim points for "two or more" then both the degrees have to be 4 years long.
For your 2nd evaluation if you want to claim points for "two or more" then your second degree need to be counted as graduate certificate. I think you are the best person to decide which one you should claim, don't go for other's advice!

Hope it helps, Good luck!
