So you need to include also your spouse passport when you send it to ottawa..cant the spouse send it from where they are?

Yes i include my husband file with my filw when apply to CIC

I did that too but when you send your passport to ottawa, did you send his passport together with your passport too? cant they just send it from the country where they are now?

Hello friends, i contacted my mp n the response she got from cic is that my file is going through initial assesment n background check is still in process. Any idea how long does it take to do initial assesment and background check? M april 4 applicant with my spouse in india

I am the same, March 10 applicant and call center told me that my file is in Sydney and still wait for security background checking.

I did that too but when you send your passport to ottawa, did you send his passport together with your passport too? cant they just send it from the country where they are now?

yes i send my spouse passport with my passport to CIC .

My Husband can send his passport to CIC in INDIA..The passport request email send by CIC they mention that if my husbands passport is not send with my passport . I have to tell CIC where they can arrange Visa for my husband. BUT MY LAWYER already said to me when i was in India that you have to arrange his passport here & send with ur passport.Because it is time consuming .............i do not want to take chance.

When did u got your ip??

Hey!
I'm single applicant and applied through BC PNP.
My app was received March 17 2014 and I got IP probably on the 4th March 2015.
I called the office on the 9th March and they told me I was IP and someone has looked at my file on the 4, 5 & 6th March 2015.
