My quick time line: application receive March 13. 2018
Transferred to London Visa office : 27th of June 2018
Interview at Sweden on 20th March 2019. And application was approved that day.
Prearrival: 21st of March 2019.
Medical expired: 15 th of May 2019.

I have not heard anything after the interview. MP told us security and criminality have not been initiated.
Meanwhile, I have ordered CBSA notes to know what is going on with the security and criminality.

Today my GC key was updated, it shows“ You do not need a medical exam, we will let you know if this changes”, before it was “ your medical exam was passed on 12 June 2018”. How about your GC key?

I’m also from February 2018. I have been told by my MP that IRCC should review my file towards the end of June but I don’t expect much will be done.

I am really glad that they extended the medical visit until May 2020. On my CIC account it says :

Review of medical results

• May 11, 2018 You passed the medical exam

If your medical has been extended, it looks like all of these checks should have been done. I found some information from IRCC website, it says,

Summary
Effective June 1st, 2012, officers can request that an applicant’s medical file be reassessed by a Medical Officer (MOF) or a Health Branch (HB) delegated staff for the issuance of a new medical certificate. The process applies to cases where a final decision of an officer is pending only due to the expiration of a medical certificate or when the validity of the medical certificate is about to expire and the applicant is unable to land before it expires. This process is limited to applicants who had a routine immigration medical examination (IME) done by a panel physician within the last 15 months in or outside Canada. The new medical certificate issued will be valid for 12 months.

Issue
This Operational Bulletin aims to standardize the reassessment of a medical file for the issuance of a new medical certificate to ensure alignment with the legislation while fulfilling departmental operational needs. This procedure is limited to situations where the final decision of an officer is pending due only to the expiration of a medical certificate. If anything else is pending, the officer should not use this procedure.

I hope that this is our case, but we have not yet seen any ghost updates on our CIC account. But they are supposed to review my file (whatever that means) towards the end of June.

I’d really love for our file to be completed soon because we don’t have the means to go on summer holidays this year.

This is true, according to what the Visa officer who interviewed me , he said He might extend the validity of my medical but that depends on the situation of my application during the period my medical expired. He also warned me not to do any medical test until am requested to do so. He actually approved my application during the interview but he could not finalize it because the criminality and security were pending.

My MP contacted CIC and she told me that they were supposed to review my file on June 28. But I think it’s some kind of due date for security. I cannot be sure either ways, so i’ll Have to wait and see.
